This layout was done using a technique I have not tried before, shadowing!

Stamp using ink the same colour as your c/s, this makes the shadow, now, re-ink your stamp with white ink, before stamping in the white ink move your stamp over a fraction and this forms the solid image. You can also try this as I have done here, with the Stampin' around wheel.
