Buff Point Card Making

Last week I had a workshop with a group of ladies from Buff Point, we had a fabulous morning and this is one of the cards that we made, using Petal Prints, Purely Pomegranate, Blush Blossom and Chocolate Chip.

Last night we had a sizzling time with the heat gun in the Faux Metal class, we were too clever!

We made numerous embellishments with this amazing technique and I will post the cards I make with them later.

After we had finished we had show and tell and I showed the lovely Purely Pomegranete card above. Oooh!!!, I heard so I couldn't resist. The card is so simple yet so impressive.

I made this variation in the new In-color, Soft Sky and Blue Bayou, with the yummy Double stitched grosgrain ribbon that co-ordinates beautifully, in Blue Bayou too! The sentiment is Happy Everything, a great set for balancing your card layout as it uses too different fonts and sizes. I think it finishes things off nicely!

And one of my Class, Adele, made this one in the new Basic Gray and So Saffron!
Very nice! Go Adele!

New Catalogue Launch

Wow! We had a great night last night! These are three of the cards that we made using new stampsets and products from the brand new 2008 - 2009 Idea & Catalogue Book.

We used my favourite set 'Priceless' for the card at the back, Prints designer series patterned paper in Rose Red, and new in color cardstock, River Rock and Purely Pomegranete. We used flowers and Rhinestone Brads from The 'Pretties Kit' - just devine!

The Gift card at the front uses the versatile set, 'Fun and Fast Notes'. I mounted this set with the words separate and I can use whatever sentiment I like each time I use it.

The third set uses a level 1 Hostess Set - 'A Little Bit of Happiness'. For this card we used the new 5/8" wide Grosgrain Ribbon in Regal Rose, it's available in 8 gorgeous colours to match perfectly with your next project.

Scrapbooking Simply

This Scrapbook Layout was one that we made at our 2008 Stampin'Up! Convention, last weekend in Brisbane. It was so much fun! We had lots of classes for business development and also ideas and time for stamping. This page was a beautifully simple layout to complete and as you can see the results are gorgeous. I have added a photo digitally, so that I could upload the page for you now, so the photo isn't quite straight, but you get the idea.

Recipe for this project

Cardstock; Kraft, Textured Soft Sky, More Mustard, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Patterned Paper; Old Olive Designer Series Prints
Inks; More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Real Red,

Sadly, March is here and that means the final month for both the Summer Mini and 2007-2008 Idea and Catalogue Book As you will see, lots of items are being retired, but they are leaving room for many brand new sets which I can't wait to show you on 1st April 2008.

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate!

Yummy, just love the French Script background stamp. The squares are stamped in chocolate chip, using one of my favourite stamp sets, 'Mostly Flowers', at only $23.95 this is a very reasonable and versatile stamp set and all the images punch beautifully, using the 1 3/8" square punch. I have also used the gathered chocolate ribbon from the Flirty ribbon Originals in the Summer Mini.

Stamp Club

The Stamp Club will have 6 members. Club members will be invited to workshops at my home on the Central Coast, NSW, to be held every second month.
The workshops will cover a variety of techniques and product uses.
There is no cost to attend the workshops, but each member of the club will commit to buying a minimum of $50 worth of Stampin'Up product at each club get together. This means that by being part of the club you are prepared to spend $50 every second month (not including postage).
I will also offer "club only" specials from time to time. But here's the best bit. Each club member will get their turn at being the hostess. That means that even though the workshops are at my house, once during the year (given that we will meet 6 times during the course of the year) you will get to be the hostess and receive the hostess benefits for yourself. So you will have your choice of a Level 1 hostess set and $30 cash to spend How good is that? If you can't make it on the night, you will still need to place your order as part of the club.
So if you think you would like to be part of the club, please contact me soon. Because I know how popular these can be, it will be "first in, best dressed".
The first one will be held on Monday night, 18th February and the hostess for that one will be the first person to contact me and book in. Then I will assign the people to "hostess" each club in the order that they book in. If we have too many people (not that you can ever have "too many"!) I will start a second club.
By the way, if I have enough people who are further away but still want to be part of the club, then I can start another group for those people. If you've ever thought you would like to be a workshop hostess but are unable to do it at your place for some reason, this is your chance!

So give me a call 0409 326 016 or email me!

And start writing your wish list!

Sweet Shop

'Sweet shop' is the name of this series of Stampin' Up Ribbon Originals. Check out the other colour selections on page148 of the Idea and Catalogue Book . When making this card, I started with my ribbons and chose cardstock that co-ordinated with my ribbons, in this card it's Rose Red with Apricot Appeal and Confetti White cardstock, stamped using Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery and Lavender Lace classic stamp pads. I have used the Stem Silhouettes stampset from the current Summer Mini Catalogue and the French Script background Stamp from the current 2007-2008 Idea & Catalogue Book.
I love my Ribbon Originals!
